Nanotechnology is a broad name given to a wide range of technologies and materials that create, manipulate, or use particles that have one thing in common – their size.
Nanotechnology (or nanoscience) involves materials that are extremely small and have dimensions roughly between 1 and 100 nanometers (nm). A nanometer is 1 billionth of a meter.
While the exact definition of nanotechnology may vary, most research and studies have concentrated on particles with at least one dimension of less than 100 nm.
Nanotechnology is hailed as having the potential to increase the efficiency of energy consumption, help clean the environment, and solve major health problems. It is said to be able to massively increase manufacturing production at significantly reduced costs. Products of nanotechnology will be smaller, cheaper, lighter yet more functional and require less energy and fewer raw materials to manufacture, claim nanotech advocates.
It is important to note that a nanomaterial can have different properties than the same material at a macro level. Nanomaterials have a higher surface area in proportion to their mass. An increased surface area typically means the particle will be more reactive (such as having an increased biologic activity by mass when compared to larger particles). This effect can be either a positive or negative quality. It is a positive quality when the particle displays antioxidant activity, or has the ability to carry drugs to specific organs or cells. But it can be a negative quality when the effect can increase toxicity, increase the oxidative stress of a cell, or destroy the cell. Informed debate is essential to try to avoid the polarization of views illustrated by the issue of genetic modification.
Let us keep in mind that what is currently called progress can only really be a form of dangerous degeneration.
Nanoscience and nanotechnology involve the ability to see and to control individual atoms and molecules.
In 2020, we expanded our portfolio to include Nanotechnology Business and have launched exclusive cooperation only with the world leading manufacturers in the field of this quickly-growing business.
Our mission is to help our customers bring nanotechnology-enabled products to market. Our multi-disciplinary technical teams provide rapid prototyping, characterization, integration, and scale-up solutions to accelerate R&D and commercialization for a wide variety of application areas including bio-diagnostics, topical therapeutics, nanomedicine, antimicrobial coatings, and color engineering.
We are proud to have a strong and professional team also in the Nanotechnology Business.
Given the promise of nanotechnology, the race is on to harness its potential – and ofcourse to profit from it. Many governments believe nanotechnology will bring about a new era of productivity and wealth, and this is reflected by the way public investment in nanotechnology research and development has risen during the past decade.
Contractor Business Center is constantly strategically adapting its possibilities and paying attention to the absolute purity (also legal, of course) of the services and products provided in the field of nanotechnologies. By leveraging our business partners unique library of nanomaterials, we aim to help our clients and partners rapidly bring nanotechnology-enabled products from conception to commercialization.
We and all our partners in Nanotechnology Business are always behind the standards of technological fields and cooperate with a number of other manufacturing companies, for which we are dealing with new technologies and applications. If you like to collaborative, and you see the possibilities of using nanotechnologies even in your everyday life, simply contact us. Our strategy, as you already know, is long-term and fair partnership, fulfilling opportunities for both sides.
